I need a new phone, badly actually, I like shopping for them but I hate how the salespeople are always pestering you to buy the phone case it comes in. Basically the only thing I care about is that I get reception . I don’t want to be talking on the phone with someone and then get cut off because I walked under a tree or something ridiculous like that. Where I used to live, there was a huge tree growing out front and it always interfered with phone reception inside the house. It was annoying. In order to talk on the phone I had to walk down the street a block just to slightly be able to hear what the person on the other end of the line was saying . Why have a cell phone if you cannot use it on the go? It is impossible to keep it if the phone never works anywhere . You need to be able to take it with you where you go . It’s called a modern technological convenience for a reason. I don’t pay a bill every month to be out wandering around like an idiot. Another thing I look for is durability. I have a habit of dropping it once or twice a day . There’s wear and tear on everything. You can’t help that. No one can. It’s just the way of things. But some models last longer than others. That’s what makes them worth purchasing.

IP-telephony is not really a new concept and is now available on the market for many years, it’s no more in testing mode. People don’t know exactly what a Internet Telephony device is. What is it, how does it work?

A Internet Telephony device can be classified in three general categories:
- end stations (such as phones),
- gateways and routers,
- and controllers.

Like everything else in IT, every category has a specific function that it performs. And if you combine all the functions you will get a complete IP-telephony system.

Hardware and software VoIP phones
There are two types of VoIP phones: hardware and software.
- A <B>hardware phone</B> is a physical device, very similar to your common phone; it has a handset, dialpad, etc. The only thing that is different from your ordinary phone is that it connects to an Ethernet network rather than a telephone network. IP phones are built with all the necessary hardware (and software) to digitize your voice (i.e., codecs) as well as setup and make calls (i.e., signaling and transport).
- <B>Software-only phones</B>, or “soft” phones, use the PC’s capabilities to communicate with other PC’s over the Internet, by using the PC’s sound card, CPU and network card as part of the phone’s hardware, and thus, enable a PC to become an IP phone.

IP-telephony Controllers
VoIP controllers, also called IP PBXs, manage the VoIP network. They are actually tools that you can use to configure your IP phone: restrict access, enabling functions and passwords, allowing/not allowing certain options, etc. Plus they are performing all the functions of a traditional PBX. IP PBX controllers are PC-based, running a standard OS (such as Microsoft Windows, Linux or Sun Solaris, but very different) with additional software to control the IP-telephony systems. These IP-telephony systems can provide APIs to extend vendor-provided or user-written features and functionality.

IP-telephony Routers
Voip Routers are devices that decide where the IP datagrams should go, between networks, from the source to the destination. IP-telephony Routers are inter-network equipments that help a LAN connect to a WAN; therefore the router’s capability to ensure correctly handled high-priority traffic is very important. Since WAN speeds have generally less bandwidth than a LAN, proper packet queuing and prioritization is in order to ensure good voice quality across the path.

Gateway
A IP-telephony device is a device that connects the VoIP network to your public telephone network (PSTN). In this way, you can make calls and receive them, from your PTSN, even if you are using an IP-based system, just like your traditional phone. Depending on the type of the gateway, they are equipped with analog/digital interfaces in order to connect to your local telephone company. With so many options available today, gateways are also capable of transcoding (changing the signal from one codec version to another so that the Internet Telephony device can communicate with the rest of the network). For example, a gateway uses G.729 codec, while your PTSN network uses a G.711 codec.

My brother thought he was so clever, trying to steal my iPod. Instead, he only made off with my cell phone holder. He really didn’t know what he was doing or even bothered to think this through. What is he going to do with an Mobile Case? At least, you can smash an iPod or delete songs off or add all these songs onto it that people will hate. I believe that his intent was to steal it and say that he bought one because he doesn’t have one for himself and he was always fawning over mine, saying how cool it is . That’s what I would have done. Then again, I wouldn’t need to steal an iPod in the first place. If I wanted one badly enough and I didn’t have one I would go buy it instead of ruining someone’s week by stealing theirs . Does it really matter that I took is car without asking him permission last month ? And, yeah, I did scratch it, but not badly. You would barely notice it. In fact, you have to know it’s there for it to stand out at all. How was I supposed to know that he didn’t have any car insurance? His bills are none of my concern. I told him to go to a black market body shop to get all the work done and tell them that he would return the favor one day or another . I honestly think that he’s overreacting but this is obviously his way of pay backs, but what a pathetic attempt at it! And he’ll keep failing at it. I guarantee it.

As a resolution, even though it’s still a long way from summer, I bring my laptop around the house and outside the house to test my wireless internet connection. I’ve fallen back with work a number of times in the past because of the need to watch over my daughter as she plays outside.

Now, with the potentials of my wireless internet connection, I’m picturing that I’d be able to easily watch over my daughter as she plays outside, while I do whatever work I can. A setup like that would just be perfect for me and her.

There is no cost to these functionalities. You can simply get these features by updating a software.

Reliability and Quality - IP-telephony is reliable and quality is generally better. But, sometimes you may face problems like need to reboot the DTA, delay, voice quality problems etc, which can be corrected simply by tuning the network.

In case of VoIP phone service, you do not have to pay for the time you use. But in case of PSTN and other call services, you need to pay for the time you use the service. Again, you can talk to many person at a time. You can exchange images, videos, texts with the people you talk with.

Both individual and businesses can use VoIP phone services. This will save a lot of money and time. But for that you should have the right VoIP phone service fitted at the users place.

So for a while now I’ve been looking for, not necessarily new, but different kind of Data storage, but I honestly don’t want a lot of hassle . I know that I have options that can be less of a hassle such as flash drives, external drives, FireWire drives, and even a Compact Flash cord, but I am not sure what I should use, hence my search for a great Data Storage Solution . I suppose the closest two are the actual drives but that requires taking things out of my pocket, or bag, or whatever. What I really need is some kind of Online Data Backup. While playing on the Internet I found a variety of Data Backup Services, and by variety I mean the lowest of the low of Data Backup Services and the highest priced Data Backup Services that were way out of my price range . It seems like some of the Internet companies that have websites out there are just trying to drive customers away with their cheesy websites and the insufficiency of information on their internet portal of industrial independence . Some of the places even stole logos and designs from other companies. I think I have two options now, I can either use Apple’s Mac service which is, in my opinion, very expensive, or I can create a domain that will store all of my information .
We called Ted ‘Mister Data Storage’ back in college. You think I am kidding. I am not . We loved the guy, but he was weird, really, really weird. In fact, with him running around campus all the time to help with everybody’s computer problems, he probably got more exercise than any of us did. He was only 22 and it was a month after graduation where he took a shower and it hit him. I still don’t believe it.
There is a friend of mine here who started up a new business after all those hurricanes down south flooded the area. It is a Emergency Backup company, which is great because he didn’t feel as bad doing it because the clients are not paying him, the insurance company was so he knew that he would be receiving the payments . My mother just won’t stop bugging me; she was going on and on about just about everything and nothing all at once. I screamed that I didn not have a day and that he needed to make it work now, of course he ended up getting upset with me . So I told that guy he has an ego twice the height of his 5’5 and I’m not paying him, I’m calling someone else.
Don’t you hate those Indian support guy’s? I was telling my best friend Tracy, I had to call someone to blow off some steam, and he just made me so mad. What happened, she asked – she is always ready to listen. So my computer is having some sort of problem, I just couldn’t do anything. All of the webpages that I tried to go to were all over the place, taking way too long to load, or not even loading at all, I needed to get some stuff onto eBay . So I called the help line people and I get this Indian guy trying to speak his version of English. I kept asking for him to repeat himself, and all he was saying, as far as I could tell, was hello how are you today . I honestly could not make out a damn thing that he was saying, so it obviously took us forever to figure out the issue. So it took us while to get very far. I kept telling him speak clearer but he just kept on with that foreign accent, I mean drop it already. Finally he said, it sounded like a Online Data Storage issue.

I need a job. I am tired of being home with kids all day long. It is enough to drive me crazy .
